Community Connections – Gateway’s Primary Prevention Program

Breaking The Cycle Of Violence - Violence affects more than one-half of the homes in America. That means more than one-half of our children grow up experiencing or witnessing violence. This program strives to break the cycle by teaching elementary and middle-school youth conflict resolution, anger management and other essential skills in a classroom setting.

Reach Out To Children (ROTC) - This program reaches out to the vulnerable children of substance abusing parents, offering them help with coping, self-esteem, safety and communication. ROTC helps them identify the adults on which they can rely and teaches them how to build strong, supportive relationships on which they can depend.

Tobacco Free - Many children and adults smoke or are exposed to secondhand smoke daily. Tobacco Free educates children and adults on the numerous negative health effects of smoking and secondhand smoke. The program is designed to empower and train youth to become tobacco free community advocates.

Positive Reinforcement of Uplifting Development (PROUD) – A school based and summer camp program focusing on substance abuse prevention.

Supporting School Success (SSS) – A school-based group that enhances parent involvement in their children’s educations.

Behavior Modification Programs – School based programs that provide conflict resolution, anger management and problem solving groups to students.
