Every year, Gateway's Junior Board sponsors a therapeutic drum clinic for the youth in our Residential Program. Since 2009, Walker Wright of Rejoicing Rhythms has come to our campus with his colorful drums to bring music and joy through creative self-expression to youth who have come from environments of severe abuse and neglect. On August 3, 2015 our Junior Board members were present for a recital and many even joined in, playing the drums along with the youth.
Alabama Department of Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Children's Trust (Children's Trust Fund/CTF) is a great supporter of Gateway. A specialty car tag is available for purchase at your local Probate Office. It's tax deductible and proceeds directly fund community-based prevention programs.
