Olympic Gold Medalist Scott Hamilton & Adoption

As many of us sit on the edges of our seats watching coverage of the 2014 Winter Olympics, we see Scott Hamilton, one of this year's commentators and Olympic gold winner in the 1984 Olympic Games.  Did you know that American figure skater Hamilton was adopted as an infant? Not only did he represent the U.S. at the 1980 Winter Olympic Games and took the gold in figure skating at the 1984 Olympic games, but he was also the first American male to medal in figure skating since 1960!

With the support and love from his adoptive parents, Scott Hamilton was able to achieve great things! You too can help Alabama's children reach their full potential...Become a Foster Parent.  To learn more about becoming a foster parent at Gateway, click here

Good luck USA Olympic Athletes!
