Other Ways to Give

Planned Giving

Let your gift support Gateway’s future with a Planned Gift. Bequests, trusts, annuities, stock donations, and retirement plan gifts can provide enduring support while offering your significant tax savings and better estate planning. Contact your financial advisor about options available to you.

Please remember Gateway in your will/estate planning; and please let us know when you do.

Parties with a Purpose

Having a party or special event? What better way to celebrate than by helping others on your special day. Just ask your guests to make a donation to Gateway instead of giving you a gift. You still have all the fun of friends and family around you to celebrate, but you will also be helping others at what may be the most difficult times of their lives.

  • Birthday Party – Ask your guests to bring a gift that they would have enjoyed playing with as a child to be donated to Gateway. Your guests will enjoy matching the children’s gifts with the adults that brought them, and Gateway’s children will benefit from their/your generosity.
  • Baby Shower – Ask your guests to bring items that every new mother needs…and let Gateway give them to new mothers who have nothing of what they need.
  • Anniversary – Go with the traditional themes…Paper – Collect paper goods for the young in our Residential Program or our Independent Living Program. Cotton/Linen – Collect sheets/towels.

Get One – Give One – When you are buying school supplies for your kids, remember those who will struggle to come up with the basics. So when you add pens, pencils and notebooks to your cart for your child, add a set for another child and let Gateway distribute them for you.

When your church, social, professional group is looking for a project, suggest that they hold a school supply, school uniform, winter coat, cleaning supplies, canned goods, paper products, toiletries, etc. drive. Even the youngest children can be involved, and can learn that there are less fortunate children in the world that can use their help.

Become a Therapeutic Foster Parent

There are too many children in this community that have experienced little love, structure, and support in their young lives. Would you open your heart and home to such a child?
