Steve Rapp

Grant Resource Associate Steve Rapp comes to Gateway with more than 20 years experience serving diverse nonprofits including Multnomah County Community Action Agency (Portland, Oregon), Community Kitchens of Birmingham, and the Birmingham Music Cooperative. Most recently, the Harvard graduate served as both Development and Acting Director for the Alabama Council on Economic Education (ACEE), where he designed and fundraised for programs training teachers in economics and personal finance. Coming on board just three months ago, Steve has written grant applications and assisted with RFP responses to the Estelle Campbell Charitable Foundation, State Department of Human Resources, Macy’s and the Daniel Foundation among others. Steve walks and lifts weights in his Highland Park neighborhood and, weather permitting, enjoys bicycling to work. Steve loves to travel to New Orleans as well as Austin where he visits his stepson Erik. Steve collects more art than he can afford and enjoys reading science fiction.
